We have too Many SKUs to Visualize
A North American window and door manufacturer has such a large SKU count that the cost of visualizing it has been considered a barrier. They have made significant investments in expanding their in-house creative team and now manage traditional CGI, photography, and video production both internally and with external partners. However, they still have not found a way to meet the content demands of their dealer network.
The Challenge
Their large dealer and distribution network—including big-box retailers, marketplaces, contractors, and e-commerce—has created content demands that are difficult to meet. They sell customizable products, which is beneficial for customers but presents a challenge in providing consistent visuals throughout the customer journey. This makes it difficult to support dealers and distributors without slowing down the sales process or frustrating them with delays in receiving the necessary visuals. In addition, their distribution network and dealers are pushing for the use of creative assets in a configurator to support selling online, in-store, and for planning commercial projects.
Although they believe CGI could unlock the potential to meet these demands, previous attempts at scaling it proved cost-prohibitive. Consequently, they are now questioning whether CGI is the right solution.
The ‘Experiment’ that unlocked new possibilities
An experiment was setup to test this hypothesis:
Is there a way to integrate CGI into their creative process that reduces the cost per image to a level where they can cover a large portion of their catalog and eliminate delays in sales and customer support due to unavailable images?
Bonus points if this path also leads to a configuration option that enables them to create a digital sales assistant for sales teams, dealers, and other stakeholders.
The Results…
We worked with the creative team to take an existing creative brief that was scheduled to be part of a launch in the following quarter.
We helped the creative team identify key opportunities where additional or more unique content could unlock significant value for their sales and marketing channels. More importantly, we provided a solution that enabled them to finally meet the growing demands of their large dealer and distribution networks.
We were able to provide a 1:1 comparison that allowed them to evaluate speed, cost, quality, and potential amplification of their content through our process.
Let Us Prove It!
We’ll take one of your existing creative briefs and run it through our proprietary production process, allowing you to compare speed, cost, quality, and the volume of unique images against your current creative production output. Learn more.
