Unlocking CGI’s Hidden Value
A large, multi-brand CPG company with a global footprint and a mature creative team faced challenges with their agencies’ use of CGI—incorporating it into workflows without tailoring it to the company’s specific creative structure and processes.
The Challenge
CGI is being utilized across their partner ecosystem, but there haven't been the type of savings or increase in content that they have been promised from that partner network. They believe in the potential of CGI, but the journey so far hasn't delivered the results they are looking for, and started wondering if there was a world where they can unlock that value by orchestrating a tighter system.
How do we take more control without taking on more tech.
The production team doesn’t want to change their current operating procedures already in place.
They know the outcome MUST deliver lower cost per unique image AND deliver more images per SKU vs. today.
They needed something better—a mix of strategy and technology that worked for their reality.
The ‘Experiment’ that unlocked new possibilities
An experiment was setup to test this hypothesis:
Is there an operational structure, fed mainly by creative agency partners, where the teams can lower cost per unique image, increase the number of unique images per shoot, and begin folding in some of the CGI best practices on the market. As an example, beginning to build a library of 3d assets internally.
The Results…
We worked with the creative team to take an existing creative brief that was scheduled to be part of a launch in the following quarter.
We assisted the creative team in uncovering opportunities to cut redundant spending, thereby providing additional budgetary dollars for reinvestment.
By increasing both the quantity and uniqueness of their content, we unlocked additional value for their sales and marketing channels.
We were able to provide a 1:1 comparison that allowed them to evaluate speed, cost, quality, and potential amplification of their content through our process.
Let Us Prove It!
We’ll take one of your existing creative briefs and run it through our proprietary production process, allowing you to compare speed, cost, quality, and the volume of unique images against your current creative production output. Learn more.
